Md. Khademul Islam Choyon is a Senior Associate in the Corporate department of Sattar&Co. After completing his studies, he started his legal career at a leading law firm in Bangladesh. As part of the team of Sattar&Co., he assists in advising local and international clients across a broad range of the firm’s practice areas including, inter alia, aviation, corporate & commercial (including M&A), energy, information technology, cyber and telecommunications laws, etc.

While working at Sattar&Co., Choyon has gained notable experience in structuring foreign direct investments, vetting and negotiating contracts and conducting due diligence on target companies for local or cross-border acquisitions. He routinely liaises with regulators and keeps the firm up-to-date with practical and procedural matters of law and regulations.

As part of the team, Choyon was involved in dealing with numerous significant matters, which include, inter alia, working with one of the largest aircraft leasing companies in the world which provides leasing and lease management services to airlines worldwide; a prominent American-Canadian entertainment company on the entertainment laws of Bangladesh which include laws relating to on-demand services, video services as well as OTT, broadcasting, etc.; a prominent and popular international online gaming company on the gaming laws of Bangladesh; a leading international solar power company on the risk matrix in relation to power purchase agreements, etc.
